When life gives you lemons...

It's summer, yay! I needed this summer...bad! This past semester after having a baby has been less than pleasing. It was hard. Not hard because I was trying to balance being back at work and being a new mom. Nope, it was because I was thrown a curveball (maybe even a change-up, haha) fifteen minutes after I returned to work. Without going into specifics, it was like being gone and returning to your house and everything in the house had changed while you were gone. It. was. weird. And every day after that until the summer came, I was uncomfortable, confused, and frustrated. Yes, life gave me lemons - really sour lemons.

In the Kitchen: Hot Kamaboko & Imitation Crab Dip

I had some leftover imitation crab in the fridge and didn't know what to do with it, so I Googled: imitation crab recipes hawaii. (Yup, always gotta throw in the Hawaii key word so I can find local recipes.) And wouldn't you know it on Pinterest one of my favorite boards to follow "Tita 808 & Ono Kine Recipes" had a recipe for Hot Kamaboko & Imitation Crab Dip. I was excited and headed to Safeway that night.

My Baby Hates #HITRAFFIC

See that? That's #^(*& Hawaii traffic! Think you hate #HItraffic , red lights, or slow drivers? Yeah, we all do. But try being in a car with a crying, no, SCREAMING baby in any kind of traffic. The literal crawl to the destination is agonizing and painful. (I have no idea what those people who live on the West Side did when the traffic was so bad it took over four hours or more to get home.) In addition, I swear I get all the red lights at every chance even though I scream, "Green! Green! Green!" (Traffic Gods, where you at?) My son hates red lights and he doesn't fall for the fake rolling stop that I use to try and trick him into thinking we aren't stopping. To add to that, slow drivers are the death of us. My son hates when we go slow and just needs a little speed to calm him down. But, we all know a slow driver when we see one...they drive in the left lane below speed limit (all the time) and we know (but they don't know), that they should be in t
